Intellectual Property Innovation & Entrepreneurship Contest (IPIEC)

The Intellectual Property Innovation & Entrepreneurship Contest (IPIEC) is now in its third year and will be accepting applications from UK companies for the first time in 2017. 

 

Winners of the UK competition will have the chance to travel to Guangzhou in January 2018 to take part in the contest, with a top prize of USD100,000 on offer (as well as the chance to pitch to leading investors in China). This competition is organised by WTOIP, and supported by the Guangzhou local government and tech transfer office.

 
The organisers welcome applications from UK start-ups/entrepreneurs in the areas of: 
  • new energy
  • agriculture technology
  • environmental technologies
  • new materials
  • robotics/AI
  • biomedicine
  • internet
  • big data

The final deadline for applications is 31 August 2017. Successful applications for the first round of applications will be invited to attend the CBBC SME China Forum on 26 September in Bristol to participate in the UK project pitching competition.
