Enterprise Futures 2017

Enterprise Futures returns for the sixth year on Monday 22 May 2017 at Media City, Salford.

This free event is a joint initiative with University of Salford and Manchester Metropolitan University for postgraduates, both students and staff, interested in starting their own business. You don’t need to have a business idea to take part; anyone with an interest in enterprise is welcome.

The day features inspirational speakers, skills workshops and opportunities for individual advice. There will be an opportunity to access a large database of potential funding sources if you are actively seeking funding, with options ranging from incubators, accelerators, grants and awards to venture capital and loans. Lunch is included and an optional networking session will be held in the evening at the nearby Dockyard bar where you can meet like minded people from our partner universities and chat over a drink.

Keynote speakers this year include Jon Wilks, an inspirational speaker and coach who has set up his own business and worked with many other top UK businesses, and Antony Chesworth, Founder of the UKs leading e-commerce company, EKM Systems Ltd. The event will be hosted by Jim Hancock, former Political Editor for BBC North West. There will also be panels of student and alumni entrepreneurs and experts from universities, government, banks and industry.

The full programme will be available soon. For more details please contact one of The University of Manchester organisers:
