James Whitaker, Founder and CEO of ParentHub confirmed for Ideas Factory

We are delighted to welcome James Whitaker to share his entrepreneurial story and experiences with us as part of our Ideas Factory series. James a former Teach First and University of Manchester student founded ParentHub in 2013. 

ParentHub is a smartphone app that makes school communication accessible to all and is designed to improve parental engagement, increase teacher efficiency and reduce admin costs. 

In 2014, ParentHub were a winner in UnLtd’s Big Venture Challenge and also received funding from the Big Issue Invest scheme; in 2015 they have been successful in securing funding from First Ark Group and Places for People. 

This is a chance to hear direct from the entrepreneur and for James to share his experiences in starting a running a business.

When: 12.05-1.00pm, Wednesday 21 October.

Our Ideas Factory series is for students from all subject areas across the University with an interest in enterprise and entrepreneurship. Sessions involve a short presentation from the guest entrepreneur followed by an opportunity to ask questions and network.
